Why CrossFit?
“The magic is in the movement” CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman
CrossFit revolutionised the fitness industry. In fact, so profoundly that it’s now the benchmark most others use to justify their own training. The founder of CrossFit demonstrated that his athletes (yes we regard anyone who works at crossfit to be an aspiring athlete), were fitter, faster and more powerful than any other system of training. There is an open challenge at the CrossFit Games – the winner is the fittest man/woman on the planet. Not one athlete from any other training methodology has ever come anywhere near winning it. The level of improved physical performance gained via CrossFit training relates directly to your health and wellness. CrossFit will make you fitter, faster and more powerful. A body product of this functional approach to training is feeling fitter, stronger and healthier and looking leaner and more muscular. CrossFit is a lifestyle choice like not smoking, or eating healthy food. Its not a fad or crash diet. These things dont work in the long term. CrossFit does.
“CrossFit is not a fad or crash diet. These things don’t work in the long term. CrossFit does..”
Why Personal Training ?
The downside of this approach to training is that it requires skilled coaches to create skilled athletes. There are few commercial gyms who provide CrossFit – despite its popularity. CrossFit requires skilled coaching to train the movements correctly. This requires both time and a skilled coach or personal trainer. Ask a typical Personal trainer to teach you the fundamental skills of CrossFit such as olympic lifting, kettlebells, or gymnastic skills. Generally, they cant.
We can provide a comprehensive physical assessment, skilled training and coaching in these skills along with help programming and advice on nutrition. We provide the tools, the coaching and the programming – you provide the effort.
Shared or small group Personal Training.
We usually provide individual personal training but have found that group personal training sessions have been both successful and increasingly common. If you have some One or some like minded friends we often recommend group training. It makes for a great training group and usually enhances the whole experience. Our athletes have fed back to us that they have really enjoyed this method of training as it does not detract from the quality of the coaching and dramatically reduces overall cost.
